Grand Manan Island
The Bay of Fundy, with its dramatic and extreme tides, was a finalist – One of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. In addition, it was also voted as one of the “World’s 7 Best Small Islands”, by Reader’s Digest. With great difficulty, we’ve come to the decision that our restaurant the Compass Rose, will not be open this summer season (2024) to the general public. This is due to nearby construction activities, which is beyond our control. We will continue offering breakfast to our in-house guests and additionally for our in-house guests only, we will offer dinner upon request.

Half Day Kayak Tour
Our most popular tour! This 3 hour tour promises adventure, spectacular views and a true sea kayaking experience.
Wildflower Room
This bright and airy guest room is waiting for you to relax in front of the windows and enjoy the ocean views.
Evening Kayak Tour
Ideal for those who want a taste of what sea kayaking is all about. You’ll see the landscape from a whole new perspective .
Ebenezer Suite
This suite is your home away from home. Perfect for a longer stay with all the amenities you will need, bonus deck to sit and watch the fishing boats!
Restaurant
We offer a fully licensed, air conditioned dining room specializing in seafood. Enjoy home cooked meals with ocean views.
Post Office
Retreat to our 2 bedroom cottage, located on the ocean “crick” in Seal Cove. Take in views of the water and the old smoke sheds from the deck.
FAQ –
Sea Kayaking
Can we bring our kids?
Yes, for most trips you can bring kids along, we don’t have an age limit but you know your kids best . Anyone under 18 must have a guardian. There are times we will limit kids due to weather conditions.
Is it physically demanding ?
Our tours are not designed to make you work hard. On the contrary, we expect you to enjoy yourself ina leisurely manner.
Can anyone come on these tours?
Yes, sea kayaking is for people of all ages. Easy to learn, no experience is needed – just a desire for fun.
What do we need to bring ?
We provide everything you need to kayak (kayak/paddle, pfd, etc.). What you need to bring is sunscreen, water, hat, sunglasses etc. We suggest you wear lightweight clothing and bring a light jacket. For your feet, water shoes or sandals you don’t mind that may get wet.

Will our room have a waterview?
Yes, all of our rooms face the water!
Do the rooms have shared bathrooms ?
NO. All rooms have their own ensuite bathroom, except one room (Rose Room). This room has it’s own private bathroom, but it is directly across the hall.
Do rooms have 2 beds ?
No. All rooms have one bed, either a king or queen bed. There are 3 rooms (Katy, Ebenezer and Sadie), that have a pullout sofa bed.
Is there a TV in the room?
Yes, each room has a smart TV.
FAQ – Retreats
How many cottages are available?
There are 2 cottages! One is the Post Office located in Seal Cove and the other is Nature’s Window, which is located on the western side of the island which is remote and completely off the grid.
How many people can be accommodated in the cottages?
The Post Office cottage is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cottage and can sleep 4. There is a queen bed in one room and a double bed in the second room. Nature’s Window cottage is designed for a couple. It is open-concept with loft bedroom (queen bed).
What is supplied and what do we need to bring?
Basically everything you need is supplied, bedding, towels, dishes, cookware etc., is all there. All you need is your personal items, toiletries and food. We suggest you bring a beach towel, as we do not have these in our cottages.
Are cottages pet friendly ?
Yes, both cottages allow pets, there is an extra charge for pets. Please note, we ask that pets not be left alone in the cottages.
