Set up in the old building moved to the site from another decommissioned lighthouse and used as a garage by one of the lightkeepers, you can meet our staff and learn more about the property and lighthouse while supporting our non-profit organization, and taking home some great gifts or souvenirs from our Welcome Centre. Funds raised in sales of lighthouse related merchandise, much of it specially made and local, go towards continued restoration and operation of the lighthouse property.

Just a short walk from the Island’s best beach and historic smokesheds is one of Grand Manan’s most unique shops. Wilcox Natural Treasures has been in operation since 1995, producing all natural soaps, body products, jewellery, candles and stepping stones. By using natural resources such as dulse (a seaweed that Grand Manan is well known for), Irish moss, and other seaweeds harvested locally, we have developed unique blends, using essential oils to scent our beautiful soaps and body products.
