Overview

Our REMOTE, off-grid solar powered cabin retreat is located on the southern end of Grand Manan, on the west side. It is isolated, approximately 3 km. from the main road, so just getting to the cabin is part of the adventure! We will arrange to take you out and pick you up at the end of your stay in our side x side ATV. All other times, you will walk/hike to and from the cabin (should you choose to leave the area). Once you arrive you will be treated with a spectacular ocean view, one that is repeated from every aspect of the cabin. In the evenings you will witness some of the most beautiful sunsets, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The cabin is situated on a cliff overlooking the cobblestone beach and the Bay of Fundy. Located here as well, is an active fishing weir and at times throughout the year you will see the fishermen with their boats seining the weir. You will also see seals playing close by and occasionally a whale! The Grand Manan trails are among the best anywhere, Nature's Window is located in the heart of it, with trails that leave in every direction right from your door.

Cost - $245.00 per night

Based on double occupancy
4 night minimum
+$20 per night for each additional person (max of 4 people)
+$10 per night for pets
15% discount applied to any bookings for 7+ nights

FAQ

Can I drink the water?

We have a dug well at this property and use the water for showers, dishes, cooking etc. However, we suggest drinking bottled water. We have a 5 gallon water container that we provide for drinking water.

Is the cabin pet-friendly?

Yes, there is an extra charge for pets. We ask that pets not be left alone in the cabin and you are responsible for any damages. Also, we ask that your canine friends not be on the furniture/beds. However, if that were to happen, please ensure that you have a blanket for them to lay on. Please note, the stairs leading to the loft is more of a ladder style, so dogs are unable to climb up (unless your dog is freakishly agile)

How many people can be accommodated?

This cabin can accommodate up to 4 people. However, we recommend only 2 people. It is an open concept design and there is virtually no privacy, plus it would be "cozy" for 4 people.

Where do I leave my vehicle?

We will direct you where to leave your vehicle upon arrival. There is an area to park, which is off the main road.

Is there wifi?

No, at this time there is no wifi at this cottage. Please be aware, at this location your cell phone will likely "roam" and pick up Maine cell towers.
